Fire meets ice on the road to Christmas.
Seagull hovers above the scene on newborn wings.
Tears meet snow on Christmas day.
Seagull circles my head , like some uncertain halo.
Your distillation in his cry.

I truly adore your poetry. I wonder have you ever read Sarah Kane? I have been researching her, and she is a break through play write. Sometimes what I read here reminds me of some of her ideas. Based on your biography I believe you may enjoy some of her work. Its awesome.
ReplyDeleteLooked up Sarah Kane, a tortured lady it seems.I try to write about emotive issues also.
ReplyDeleteHello! you're looking lovely, in a mysterious sort of way. Why is Seagull in memory of Nicky? Did he die?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the lack of subtlety.
Best wishes

Nick died aged 44 in a car accident in Oxford on 5/12/10.
ReplyDeleteTo carolineprice: When something is written in memory of, it usually means that there are only memories left....but you have your answer now?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Julia, sending you Reiki with love Denise and Bob
